Towards Zero cast in full as new Agatha Christie adaptation airs on BBC

The new TV series Towards Zero is due to premiere on BBC One on Sunday, 2 March, featuring a star-studded cast. The three-part series is an adaptation of the Agatha Christie book of the same name, released in 1944.

A teaser, released alongside a short trailer, says: "After a scandalous divorce, a tennis star, his ex-wife, and a volatile mix of guests converge at a coastal estate. When murder strikes, a troubled detective must unravel the truth."

Towards Zero is set in 1936 England and features an "explosive love triangle," a "formidable matriarch," and a "deadly web of jealousy and deceit."

The new BBC series features several well-known faces, including Netflix stars and a Hollywood actress.

Sex Education actress Mimi Keene portrays Kay Elliott-Strange in Towards Zero, alongside Irish actress Ella Lily Hyland as Audrey Strange.

Elsewhere, Netflix star Oliver Jackson-Cohen takes on the role of Neville Strange, while Anjelica Huston plays Camilla, Lady Tressilian. Actress and writer Jackie Clune portrays Mrs Barrett, Grace Doherty is Sylvia, and Jack Farthing plays Thomas Royde.

Clarke Peters plays Mr. Treves, Matthew Rhys plays Inspector Leach, and Anjana Vasan plays Mary Aldin. While Alexander Cobb, Khalil Ben Gharbia, and Adam Hugill round out the cast of Towards Zero.

The official plot for Towards Zero reads: "England, 1936. After a scandalous celebrity divorce, Nevile Strange and his ex-wife Audrey make the unthinkable decision to spend a summer together at Gull’s Point, their childhood home and the coastal estate of Nevile's aunt, Lady Tressilian.

"With unfinished business between the former childhood sweethearts, plus the presence of Nevile’s new wife Kay, tensions are running high. Add to this a long-suffering lady’s companion, a mysterious gentleman’s valet, an exiled cousin with a grudge, a venerable family lawyer, an inquisitive orphan and a French con man, and soon there will be murder.

"A troubled detective must rediscover his purpose to untangle a toxic web of jealousy, deceit, and dysfunction. Can he solve the crime before another victim meets their death? An explosive love triangle, a formidable matriarch,h and a house party of enemies. All compelled… Towards Zero."
