Apple TV+’s psychological thriller Surface is about to re-emerge for a second series but this tine on the other side of the pond.
After her apparent suicide attempt in San Francisco, Sophie Ellis lost her memory from a brain injury.
Now she is attempting to piece together her past and find out who she really is and what happened to her.
Created and written by Veronica West, the show is produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the star (Sophie) and an executive producer.
Season two sees Sophie head back to London to look for answers.
The second series of Surface premieres on Apple TV+ on Friday 21 February.
There are eight episodes in the new series, with each being released on consecutive Fridays until 11 April.
Viewers will need to subscribe to Apple TV+ to stream this series and the last, prices for subscription start from £8.99 per month although there is a seven-day free trial.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw leads the cast as Sophie Ellis/Tess Caldwell, who survives an apparent attempted suicide but loses her memory and is now trying to piece together her real identity and past.
British actress Mbatha-Raw, 41, rose to prominence in the theatre playing Ophelia in a 2009 production of Hamlet in the West End and Broadway.
She has gone on to star in television series such as Doctor Who, Bonekickers, Undercovers, The Morning Show and Loki.
She has also appeared in films Beauty and the Beast, A Wrinkle in Time and Misbehaviour.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen stars as James Ellis, Sophie’s husband and a wealthy investor.
Jackson-Cohen, 38, played Phillip White in the BBC adaptation Larkrise to Candleford and has gone on to appear in the television series Mr Selfridge, Dracula, The Secret River, The Haunting of Hill House and Wilderness.
He has also starred in the films Emily and Jackdaw.
Phil Dunster plays Quinn Huntley, a rich and reckless playboy with a dangerous secret in Surface season two.
Dunster will be well known to television audiences as Lance Corporal Will Jensen from Strike Back, he played Tristan in Humans and Jamie Tartt in Ted Lasso.
The 32-year-old also stars as Mike Stevens in Amazon’s Prime Video series The Devil’s Hour.
Millie Brady appears as Eliza Huntley, who Sophie had flashbacks to in the first season.
British actress and model Brady, 31, appeared in Mr Selfridge as Violette and Lady Æthelflæd in The Last Kingdom.
She has also had roles in the films Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Teen Spirit.

Series one of Surface saw Sophie survive a suicide attempt in the US but lose her recent memory, including the reason why she decided to jump.
As she tries to piece together the motivation for her attempted suicide, she uncovers more about her past life than she expected which sets her on a path to find out who she really is.
The second chapter of Surface follows Sophie as she travels to London to unravel more of the secrets of her past.
After suffering an injury which robbed her of her memories, she decides to follow the few clues from her vast stolen resources to embed herself in elite British society.
She unearths a possible link to a beautiful heiress.
But everything changes when a journalist contacts her out of the blue and she realizes they were working together to expose a shocking scandal, which involves the dangerous people with whom she’s now formed a connection.
