And Shane Warne cut a relaxed figure as he prepared to ring in the New Year at Hotel Esplanade in Melbourne's St Kilda.
The 52-year-old spin king donned a black T-shirt and blue shorts, and was joined by his pals including retired cricketers Andrew Symonds and Michael Hussey.
Shane showed off a golden tan and at times wore a face mask as he mingled among the crowd at the iconic pub known as The Espy.
He appeared in great spirits as he made his way to a sectioned-off area where he engaged in conversation with his cricket pals Andrew, 46, and Michael, 46.
Ahead of The Ashes Test in Melbourne on Boxing Day, Shane had been staying at the lavish Crown Hotel.
He certainly got the attention of some attractive young women, who could be seen whispering to one another when they spotted the cricketing legend.
Last week, the cricket legend showed fans a glimpse inside his luxury suite, which can cost up to $3,799 per night for the One Bedroom Crystal Villa.
Shane shared a short video on his Instagram Story starting in the bathroom.
He revealed the stunning circular-shaped marble bath with gold tapware, before panning around the room to reveal the big luxurious bed.
Shane then walked through the suite and into the bright and open foyer to show the dining room.
He then showed off the living room and TV, as well as the view of the Victorian capital in the background.
Next to the living room appeared to be the suite's bar - appropriate for Shane who is the owner of a gin company.
He wrote in the caption: 'Home for the next two weeks! Thank you @crownmelbourne,' along with a heart emoji.
Shane is a commentator for Fox Cricket alongside Adam Gilchrist and former England international Isa Guha.
He is also a doting father to three children - son Jackson, 22, and daughters Brooke, 24, and Summer, 19 - with his ex-wife Simone Callahan.
