Semi-detached house from Rachel Weisz film is for sale for £1.6m

Hollywood actress Rachel Weisz stood on its porch while the cameras were rolling - and now the semi-detached property in London that featured in the film Disobedience is for sale.

The 2017 indie film tells the story of a woman returning to her Orthodox Jewish community that shunned her for having an attraction to a female childhood friend.

The drama was filmed around the five-bedroom family home in the north west of the capital. The property is currently for sale via estate agents Dexters with an asking price of £1.6million.

The Edwardian property has a large living room with stained glass windows and a large kitchen.

The kitchen leads to a 65 ft garden with two garden offices, making it an appealing family home for those working from home during the pandemic.

Filming at the property took place around the property on Heber Road for two weeks.

The film is a big screen adaptation of Naomi Alderman's acclaimed novel of the same name.

The book was published in 2006 and is set in Hendon and features the return of Ronit, played by Rachel Weisz, to the Orthodox Jewish family home following the death of her father.

She then rekindles a romance with her best friend played by Dr Strange star Rachel McAdams, who is now married to her cousin.
