Prince William made a surprising remark about a British chef this week as he attended a joint engagement with his wife Princess Kate.
The Prince of Wales, 42, was all smiles as he stepped out in Pontypridd, Wales, on Wednesday with Princess Kate, 43.
During the visit, the couple met a number of local people and businesses to hear about how the town has been affected by flooding last year.
As well as addressing these serious issues, the couple also took part in a bit of lighthearted fun during a tour of a local market, where they had a go at making Welsh cakes.
After being praised for his baking efforts, William joked about his "stunning" baking skills and said it was one chef that taught him everything he knew.
William quipped: "Mary Berry taught me everything I need to know."
The comment comes after the prince previously met baking legend Mary, 89.
In a 2019 BBC Christmas special titled A Berry Royal Christmas, William and Kate met Mary Berry and took part in cooking and baking with her.
The couple appeared to be big fans of the cooking legend, with Kate admitting that she uses her recipe books at home.
Kate said that she had enjoyed making pizzas using Mary Berry’s recipe.
The princess also told Mary that one of Prince Louis’ first words was Mary as the recipe books were on a shelf that was at the same height as the young prince when he was a toddler.
