Van Nuys High remained unbeaten in the Valley 3-A league with a romp over Verdugo Hills. Van Nuys is now 5-0 in the league and 7-2 for the season. Verdugo Hills is winless in five league encounters and nine overall games.
Junior Shawn Price led the winners with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Bernadette Tillis had 15 points while Charnessa Holmes had 14 rebounds to go along with nine points.
It wasn’t much of a game. Van Nuys raced to a, 21-4, first quarter advantage and upped it throughout the rest of the game.
