Popular jewellery chain with 89 locations shuts seven stores - full list

This British high street jewellery chain will be closing seven of its stores across the UK within March and April 2025.

Beaverbrooks has announced that seven of its UK stores will close in the next two months, reducing the total number of locations from 89 to 82, as a result of a business performance review.

The major jewellery chain said it's closing seven branches as they have been deemed "no longer commercially viable", The Sun revealed.

Anna Blackburn, managing director of Beaverbrooks, told The Sun: "At Beaverbrooks, we pride ourselves on our people-first culture and open, honest relationships with our colleagues.

"Our directors delivered the news in person to each team member. We aim to retain as many colleagues as possible within other Beaverbooks stores or the wider business, and are working closely with each individual affected to provide them with other options for their specific needs, supporting them with their next steps whatever they may be."

The jewellery chain will close its stores in East Kilbride and Dundee, Scotland, on March 16.

In England, five stores will shut down across March and April in Birmingham Fort, High Wycombe, Huddersfield, Croydon, and Sutton Coldfield.

Despite achieving a record turnover of £228.6 million from March 2023 to February 2024, Beaverbrooks' operating profits fell to £10.5 million due to increased operating costs and long-term investments.

Established in 1919 with its first shop in Belfast, Beaverbrooks remains a family-owned business, managed by the third and fourth generations of the Adlestone family.
