Pentagon makes bombshell announcement after pilot saw 'egg-shaped UFO'

The Pentagon has disclosed that it is currently probing allegations made by a government contractor who claims to have retrieved a crashed 'egg-shaped' UFO. Whistleblower Jake Barber came forward in January, stating that he flew helicopters on covert missions to gather alien technology.

In an interview with NewsNation, Barber described flying 150 feet above an 'egg-shaped' object devoid of any engine or thermal signatures. "I saw an egg, a white egg," the pilot revealed.

'It's inconsistent with anything I'd ever seen before,' Barber stated in January. The US Department of Defense (DoD) has now confirmed that it is investigating the case.

This is the latest report of UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) that the Pentagon admits they're actively scrutinising - adding this case to 21 others. These 21 UAP investigations were part of a shocking report which revealed that the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) received 757 cases of UAP encounters from US authorities mainly between May 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024.

This staggering total included 272 incidents which occurred prior to 2023 but had never been reported publicly. AARO is the defense department's group responsible for investigating reports of UFOs and UAPs made by government agencies.

According to AARO, it is the first government office that synchronizes the efforts of the DoD and other agencies to collect, report, and analyse all data on UAPs.

Currently, only military personnel can report UAP to the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG), but they must first send these reports to their commanding officers or agencies. Civilian pilots who spot a UFO are advised by AOIMSG to inform air traffic control, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will forward these reports to the Department of Defence (DoD).

However, for ordinary people who witness something unusual in the sky, AOIMSG does not yet have a method for them to report their experiences, stating 'we will announce when a reporting mechanism is available for others to use. ' The public can still submit information about their sightings to the National UFO Reporting Center, a non-governmental group that has been documenting UFO encounters since 1974.

Not everyone is convinced that the Pentagon and AOIMSG will fully disclose what Washington knows about UFOs and potential alien encounters. Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart pointed out that AOIMSG's new director, Dr. Jon T. Kosloski, has very limited power when it comes to revealing government secrets. Prior to taking over AOIMSG, Dr. Kosloski worked for the Research Directorate of the National Security Agency and served as a subject matter expert, advising several agencies within the DoD.

Coulthart told NewsNation: 'The Pentagon dictates what he is allowed to reveal and what he's allowed to say publicly, and there isn't a very proud history of the Pentagon wanting to be very forthcoming. ' He further claimed that he believes the US government has been concealing its retrieval of what he termed as 'non-human technology' for decades.

Additionally, he pointed out the 'mixed messages' members of the Trump Administration have been sending regarding transparency about UAP.
