Olly Murs has flashed his abs as he and co-host Mark Wright drum up support for their new radio show.
The 40-year-old X Factor star and former The Only Way Is Essex cast member, 38, have landed a breakfast radio show on Heart FM. And they have been pulling out all the stops to ensure fans tune in to listen to them share banter and play tunes - with Olly turning to flashing the flesh in order to garner an audience.
Taking to social media this weekend, Mark and Olly shared video clips of themselves in and around the studio as they prepared to host the first episode of their Wrighty And Murs radio show. This included Mark ruthlessly mocking Olly about his vanity, laughing: "I know you're used to doing your barnet and wearing good clothes. They're shining. Look at this guy. Looks as smart as anything Saturday morning breakfast. The barnet looks great, you're all good."
Filming Olly in the studio, Mark yelled: "Drum roll. He's about to get in the chair. Drum roll. Guys, the big man is in the building. Heart breakfast, Saturday morning."
In a joint video post, Olly said to the camera: "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to our very own Instagram page." Mark explained: "The official Instagram page... We set it up a while ago. We haven't really done anything with it. People thought it was just a fake. It's not. Wrighty and Murs is our official Instagram page."
Cutting back in, Olly said: "Yeah. So we are going to be updating loads of stuff on here, content, all the fun stuff we get up to in the studio, all sorts. I'm even going to get me abs out right now. Look at them, son!" He then lifted his shirt and showed off his defined abdominal muscles.
The lads then urged their fans to tune into their show, exclaiming: "Come on breakfast show every Saturday right here. Make sure you follow, get involved, and we'll speak soon. The fresh content comes after the boys have been promoting their new show online."
The latest update comes after the lads shared a video of themselves in the studio to promote their show. It began with Mark asking: "Mursy, what are you doing in here, son?" The singer replied: "Mate, we've only gone and done it. We've got our own show." Mark asked: "Who? Me and you?" With Olly then saying: "Yes me and you, baby." They then argued over what the show should be called, with both arguing that their name should come first in the title of the show. Mark argued that his name should come first as he had already hosted radio shows for 14 years - before Olly highlighted that he had been making music for 15 years. They then resorted to rock, paper, scissors to reach a decision - with Mark winning and the show thus being christened Wrighty And Murs.
An earlier promotional post said: "Get ready to wake up with @ollymurs and @wrighty_ as they’re taking over Saturday Breakfast with a brand new show, starting March 1st from 9am! Expect plenty of banter as weekends are looking a lot cheekier…" And another update declared: "Look who it is… Wrighty and Mursy are taking over! Catch @ollymurs and @wrighty_ on their brand new Saturday Breakfast show starting March 1st from 9am."
