Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets new job as ex-Man Utd boss makes animal impression

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been announced as Besiktas' new head coach - and he celebrated with an animal impression.

Solskjaer, 51, was unveiled by the Turkish giants on Friday (January 17) morning. After taking the new role, Solskjaer said: "I'm delighted to be here. It's great to have so many people here for this great club. We've had our first meeting with our board. I'm looking forward to starting my duties."

It's the first time the Norwegian has taken a job in football since he left Manchester United in 2022. Solskjaer has since returned to Norway, where he was linked with a number of roles - but it appears Besiktas have managed to charm him.

"So good to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally get back to management since leaving United, and best of luck to him," one fan posted. While a second shared: "Best of luck to your new role Ole!"

"I am tuning into every match to watch my boy," a third replied. And another added: "Took so long but here we go...I need him to take Antony off us this January..."

Earlier this season, Solskjaer had hinted at a sensational response to the Red Devils.

"If the family [United] asks, I would say yes every day of the week," Solskjaer revealed during a Q&A at the Oslo Business Forum. "It feels wrong to talk about jobs that other people have now, but I would say yes, of course."

However, it was the Norway role that Solskjaer was eyeing-up: "I am a proud Norwegian, and of course if the question arises, when Stale decides to give up, I will happily engage in discussions.

"I am a proud Norwegian and proud of where I come from."
