Several roads will be closed on Sunday to ensure the safety of runners in the North Lincolnshire 10K and half marathon.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the event which will start at Quibell Park on Brumby Wood Lane, Scunthorpe.
The 10K race will start at 09:00 GMT and the half marathon will get under way at 09:40.
Scotter Road, Brumby Wood Lane, Burringham Road and Farmers Lane are the main roads expected to be affected from early morning until about 13:00.
North Lincolnshire Council said signed diversions would be put in place.
The following roads will be closed:
Scotter Road between the viaduct on Minster Road and Asda roundabout from 07:30 until 10:00
The viaduct to West Common Lane including Brumby Wood Lane until 13:00
Brumby Common Lane (Farmers Lane) from 08:00 until 13:00
Burringham Road from Asda to Burringham from 08:45 until 10:00
Adsa roundabout from 08:45 until 09:15, then from 09:30 until 10:00
Butterwick Road from 09:00 until about 11:15
Messingham Road to the High Street from 09:00 until 12:00
High Street North to South View Avenue from 09:00 until 13:00
When the runners have run past the Asda roundabout, Burringham Road will reopen, but the B1450 junction of South View Avenue will remain closed.
It will not be possible to travel to Burringham until about 13:00, the council said.
