Moment Putin FSB spy HQ hit by Ukrainian aerial bombs with mass casualties

A video captures the moment a Ukrainian air strike hits a Russian spy headquarters leaving one dead and 14 injured.

New footage shows plumes of smoke billowing into the air as the FSB Federal Security Service facility in the Bryansk border region was hit by Ukraine’s air force. The dead and wounded employees in the destroyed two storey building included FSB officers and border guards who were dug out from the rubble, according to Russian independent media outlet Astra.

The strike was confirmed amid deep tension between the US and Ukraine over Donald Trump’s peace initiative. The White House has indicated it wants a public apology from Volodymyr Zelensky, after his Oval Office showdown with the US president, according to Bloomberg.

“As a result of the pinpoint strike, important military infrastructure of the enemy was destroyed, including communications equipment, signal amplifiers, satellite communications equipment and other technical means that were used to coordinate military operations,” reported Astra. “This significantly reduced the enemy's ability to control forces and assets in the region.”

The dead officer was named as Dmitry Ivanov. The FSB is Russia’s counterintelligence service once headed by Vladimir Putin, and includes the country’s border guards. Separate footage shows a Russian column of five military vehicles totally destroyed near Kupiansk, Kharkiv region.

The footage highlights the excessive losses suffered by Vladimir Putin’s “cannon fodder” troops as they seek to advance on the frontline. “A convoy moved south near Lozova but didn’t even make it to the front line or begin the attack,” said military analyst Yan Matveev. Ukrainian drones caught it on the approach, destroying a tank and four APCs.”

Russia has suffered large-scale losses in the war, with Ukraine claiming more than 800,000 troops have become casualties and as many as 9,000 tanks destroyed, plus dozens of warplanes and helicopters. Drone warfare is raging on the eastern frontline, whilst future US aid to Ukraine is looking unstable, with US President Donald Trump's pro-Vladimir Putin stance which has emerged recently.

Last week, South Korea's spy agency warned North Korean leader has sent additional troops to Russia - preparing to send them into the war in Ukraine. The National Intelligence Service (NIS) is trying to determine exactly how many more troops North Korea has deployed to Russia.

The NIS also assessed that North Korean troops were redeployed at fronts in Russia's Kursk region in the first week of February, following a reported temporary withdrawal from the area. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already confirmed North Korean troops were fighting alongside Russian forces.

North Korea has been supplying a vast amount of conventional weapons to Russia, and last fall it sent about 10,000-12,000 troops to Russia as well, according to US, South Korean and Ukrainian intelligence officials. North Korean soldiers have become easy targets for drone and artillery attacks on Russian-Ukraine battlefields due to their lack of combat experience and unfamiliarity with the terrain. They have suffered enormous losses, according to sources.
