Love Island star Millie Court has revealed her beau Liam Reardon has tested 'presumptive positive' for Covid, forcing them to isolate in their hotel in Dubai.
Just days after jetting to the UAE for a New Year's break, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to reveal Liam had to quarantine for three days, putting their planned trip to The Maldives in doubt.
In a lengthy post, Millie told fans she and Liam decided to fly to Dubai despite the threat of the Omicron variant because they didn't want to 'live their lives in fear,' and are still hopeful they can continue their trip if they test negative in the coming days.
In her post Millie explained that Liam's test had come back 'presumptive positive,' meaning that if he tested negative in three days time, they were no longer required to isolate.
She wrote: 'Hey guys, sorry I've been a bit quiet with posting our holiday fun... but we received some bad news and Liam's PCR has come back ''presumptive positive.''
'This means we have to isolate now for 3 days in the hope that it may be negative then. If it is then we're free to leave but if it's positive then we have to finish the 10-day quarantine. We are absolutely gutted.
'We had to cancel the desert tour we had planned today last minute, we were supposed to be celebrating tonight what an amazing year we've both had but we'll be celebrating inside our room and watching the firework display from our balcony.
'Worst part is we were supposed to be flying to the Maldives in 2 days time. Liam bought and surprised me with this holiday of a lifetime for my birthday and it's all gone wrong.
'People will say ''shouldn't have gone during a pandemic anyway'' however we're not living our lives in fear and we're trying to live our lives to the best we can being as safe as possible.
'Throughout Christmas myself and Liam did lateral flows every day and when we saw family we got them to test themselves with lateral flows too.
'We were being extra precautious. Liam feels absolutely fine, no symptoms whatsoever and I am negative.
'Fingers crossed we get some good news in a few days and we can continue our trip to the Maldives.
'So if you're wondering why there isn't that much content, it's because we're stuck in our room. Only so much content we can post in here, who knows I might do a makeup tutorial for you guys, fill the time haha.'
After sharing the post, Millie also posted several snaps of the outfit she'd planned to wear for her desert tour, with the caption: 'Before we got the bad news, this outfit would’ve looked better on the sand dunes… F U covid.'
Millie's news came just two days after she and Liam flew to Dubai for this first holiday together, sharing a glimpse of their designer shopping spree on Instagram.
Liam then gave a look inside their hotel once they arrived as he headed out onto the balcony and showed off the stunning pool and sea views.
The snaps come after it was revealed that the couple splashed out £1million on an Elizabethan mansion conversion in Essex earlier this year.
The pair, who scooped the £50,000 cash prize on Love Island this summer, are 'over the moon' after buying their first four-bedroom property together, which boasts sprawling grounds, three bathrooms, and a sauna.
Millie and Liam are 'starting a new chapter' in their three storey apartment that is set in a historic Grade 1 listed Elizabethan mansion, complete with panoramic views of the countryside.
