Meghan Markle shares special message to 'fellow Angeleno' as she teases venture

Meghan Markle has issued a personal message to her fellow pal from Los Angeles ahead of her Netflix release 'With Love, Meghan', which is due to air within the next few days. In a sweet message to friend and chef Roy Choi on Instagam stories, the Duchess of Sussex wrote a message under a video of a new Netflix trailer which showed a clip of the pair cooking together.

She captioned the post: "Thanks to my fellow Angeleno @chefroychoi! Had the best time having you on the show. Can't wait for all of you to see it! March 4th on @netflix." Roy Choi is a Korean-American chef who is known for his gourmet food trucks and television shows, and is also considered a leader in the modern food truck movement. The two are shown working together in the kitchen of what appears to be a million-pound mansion in Montecito, California.

The streaming giant released a new teaser trailer 'sneak peek' of the show uploaded onto the socials of the streaming giant's platform on January 27.

In the teaser, Meghan, 43, can be seen bonding with chef Roy Choi whilst they both prepare dishes in a luxurious kitchen setting. As they are chopping food and reminiscing about Koreatown, Meghan asks Chef Choi if he listens to music while cooking - which results in a 'surprising' answer and a shocked-looking Meghan.

The show was originally scheduled to launch on January 15 but was delayed due to devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles.

On Meghan's own Instagram feed, she has also posted a behind-the-scenes clip which showcases her interacting with the film crew. She is spotted going through notes, hugging a camera operator, and also seen walking out of a door alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex captioned her post: "Six more days until our show launches on @netflix! Celebrating the crew and everyone who helped make this happen! The countdown begins."

Meghan first shared the trailer for the eight-episode series in early January, writing on her Instagram page, "I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year!

"Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support — and fun! As ever, Meghan."

It will be Meghan's first solo hosting project for Netflix. This follows Meghan and Harry's five-part docuseries Polo, which premiered in December but struggled to find traction on Netflix’s top 10 charts globally.

Netflix described the show as an "Inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, that reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old."

"Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected," they continued. "She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”
