Meghan Markle and Netflix are in "panic mode" as they "try to salvage" what's left of the Duchess' TV show and brand, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex changed the name of her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard to As Ever this month, following months of delays to its launch and the release of her new Netflix show With Love, Meghan.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield appeared on Talk TV to discuss the issues Meghan has been having with the brand. Host Kevin O'Sullivan said Meghan and Netflix were in "panic mode".
He also added: "I think she's gone back to As Ever in a major panic and now will be stopped from selling clothes. So this will be a serious restriction of business plans."
Kinsey said: "This is just another example of how this was a crisis pivot. The fact that we find out just two weeks before the show, which was postponed a month and a half, that there's this rebranding that's gone on.
"You and I debated whether or not this was going to be a dump by Netflix, the way they dumped (Prince Harry's series) all in one, all in one sitting - that 'we recognize this is gutter TV, have it all' and then they kind of ran away from it.
"That's why I suspect that they will space out Meghan's episodes to try to salvage anything when it comes to getting some sort of retail arm up and running prior to the show wrapping finally."
Kevin agreed, saying: "There's no other conclusion to all from the events, the hasty, hurried events of the last week, Meghan and her business partners at Netflix have gone into panic mode."

Prince Harry reveals 'genuine concern' about Meghan in new message ahead of UK return
Prince Harry gushed about his wife, Meghan Markle, as he revealed his "genuine concern" for her in a new interview following the Invictus Games earlier this month.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent four days together at the beginning of the month as they travelled to Canada to attend the seventh edition of the Games before Meghan flew back home to California to look after their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry, who launched the Invictus Games back in 2014, spoke to Us Weekly and said that there are so many memories between him and the duchess since they first attended the event together when they were still dating in 2016.
He told the outlet that Meghan has been "part of this community since shortly after the Orlando Games in 2016 and has loved every minute of it.
The prince also revealed that, in 2018, when the games took place in Sydney, Australia, he got a scare after meeting with a fan who gave him a "bear hug".
Harry and Meghan warned 'organised crime gangs' targeting their LA neighbourhood
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wealthy LA neighbourhood is being targeted by organised crime gangs, police have warned - urging residents to take extra safety precautions.
The couple have lived in a multi-million-pound mansion in the affluent town of Montecito for five years with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
The district is populated by a number of other famous names, including Oprah Winfrey, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and Gwyneth Paltrow - making it perhaps no surprise that it has become a target for organised robbery.
A proliferation of criminal gangs from South America has spurred local authorities to urge residents to take extra precautions to protect their homes, however, warning that the thieves posed a particular risk to "affluent celebrities and athletes" in the area.

Reason why Meghan Markle now shares pictures of her children
Meghan Markle has made the recent decision to share various rare clips and pictures of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - with a very specific reason thought to be behind her decision.
The Duke, 40, and Duchess of Sussex, 43, are known to be extremely protective over their children - having made the decision to keep them out of the spotlight.
However, since Meghan launched her new Instagram account on New Year's Day, the proud mum-of-two has shared various clips and pictures of Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, via her account.

Actress says Royal Family should bring Meghan and Harry back to ensure a future
An actress has caused controversy online this week after suggesting that the future of the Royal Family depends on bringing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back into the fold.
The comment comes after the Duke of Sussex, 40, and the Duchess of Sussex, 43, quit royal life in 2020 and moved overseas to Montecito in California.
Since then, the couple have criticised their life as working royals on multiple occasions, starting with their bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, followed by the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan in 2022.
In 2023, Harry then took this a step further by publishing his memoir Spare, which fractured a number of the relationships he shared with his royal relatives, including his brother Prince William who he no longer speaks to.
Over the last few years, both Harry and Meghan have showed no intention to move back to the UK and return to their royal duties, with the Royal Family also making no moves to ask the couple to return. With the fractured familial relations, it is unlikely to happen.
However, actress Narinder Kaur, 51, believes that the Royal Family need to bring Harry and Meghan back into the fold if it is to protect its future.
She wrote on X: “I would go as far as saying the longevity and life of the RF depends on bringing Harry and Meghan back."

On X he expressed: "I’m deeply proud of, and impressed by, my partner @CatJarman for her support of the MS Society. She is an example of how successful and fulfilled people with this condition can be, and I know her support of this charity will be hugely beneficial to so many."

Harry and Meghan's former aide accused of 'clear dig' at Sussexes
An interview given by a former royal aide who worked for the Sussexes and was also at the centre of the Meghan Markle bullying allegations has been described as a "clear dig" at Prince Harry.
Jason Knauf, who previously worked at Kensington Palace, for the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a new appearance on 60 Minutes Australia and spoke about his time at the Palace.
In October 2018, while working for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as their communications secretary, Mr Knauf made a bullying complaint against Meghan – emailing his concerns to William’s then-private secretary in an apparent attempt to force Buckingham Palace to protect staff. The duchess has always vehemently denied the allegations.
The email was leaked to The Times just days before Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey and Buckingham Palace launched an internal review at the time regarding the claims but the findings were never made public.
