Video footage recorded from inside another car shows the axe-wielding man taking two swings at the driver’s side of the vehicle stopped on the street in front of a traffic light.

The agitated suspect then takes off his jacket and throws it on the ground. After appearing to exchange words people inside the vehicle, he picks up his axe and jacket from the ground, swings the jacket over his shoulder and walks away.

‘Oh my gosh,’ a woman recording the clip shared with Storyful can be heard saying.

A woman says of the victim: ‘He better not get off that car.’

As the suspect walks in their direction, a woman says, ‘If he coming over here, we better drive off.’

The suspect was rear-ended by a man with his girlfriend in the passenger’s seat in Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday, police told FOX 13. The attack left the couple’s vehicle front and back windshield and side smashed.

According to the victims, they accidentally hit the suspect’s car and he started screaming and took out the axe.

No one was injured in the road rage attack.

The man drove off afterward in a 2012 Chevy Impala.

He has not yet been identified and cops are searching for him. He faces aggravated assault charges, Commercial Appeal reported.

It happened more than seven years after three masked gang members were filmed hitting a driver with an axe nine times in Birmingham, UK. The clip recorded by another motorist in the driver’s seat was posted online and labeled a ‘revenge axe attack’. The victim cried out for the thugs to stop but they continued. It was not immediately clear if the attack occurred on a public road.
