Major blow for Meghan Markle as Prince Harry set to overshadow her Netflix show

Meghan Markle's new Netflix series could be overshadowed by the legal battle relating to Prince Harry's immigration status.

With Meghan's series set for release on March 4, Harry will be gearing up for the Department of Homeland Security to release redacted documents related to his US visa application just two days later.

This will likely come as a frustrating blow for Meghan, who is hoping for major success with her new eight-part series titled 'With Love, Meghan'.

After their reveal on March 6, Harry's documents will then be submitted to the court following a lawsuit by right-wing think tank, The Heritage Foundation.

A court filing seen by Newsweek stated: "Defendant can provide these items with proposed redactions to Chambers within 14 days, no later than March 6, 2025."

Some of the documents will be made public, however Harry has been told that some of his private information will remain sealed.

US authorities have agreed to release information from three documents relating to the ongoing legal case about his visa. It has been reported a judge said the data on one document is too sensitive to be publicised.

The publicly released papers could provide insight into whether Harry disclosed his past drug use on immigration forms - a factor that could bar entrance into the States.

The 40-year-old moved to California with Meghan and their son Archie - now aged five - in 2020, and his US visa has been heavily scrutinised following revelations he made in his memoir about using drugs. The couple welcomed their second child in June 2021 - their daughter Princess Lilibet.

Taking to her Instagram account, @meghan, on January 2, the 43-year-old shared the exciting news that her Netflix show was on its way.

Although it had originally been planned for release on January 15, a delay was put in place following the wildfires that devastated LA.

The eight episodes of the show - each around 30 minutes long - will all air on Netflix on Tuesday.
