Lance Bass announces that his twins have reached the 'giggling phase'

Lance Bass revealed that his newborn twins have reached the 'giggling phase' in a post that was shared to his Instagram account on Thursday.

The 42-year-old former NSYNC member uploaded several sweet shots of his son and daughter, Alexander and Violet, laughing beside one another.

The hitmaker also wrote a short message in his post's caption that read: 'The kids have hit the giggling phase now. It's heaven!'

Bass shares his children with his husband of seven years, Michael Turchin, whom he began dating in 2011.

The happy couple announced that they were engaged in 2013, and they decided to tie the knot the following year.

Their wedding was notably filmed and released to the public as Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding.

All of the singer's NSYNC bandmates, with the exception of Justin Timberlake, were present at the ceremony.

Bass and Turchin decided to start a family in 2018, when they began looking for surrogates to carry their child.

At the time, the singer made it known to the public that he and his husband had always planned on becoming parents.

Last year, the performer revealed that his surrogate had lost several babies in the past during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

At the time, he stated: 'If it's not meant in the cards, then it's not meant in the cards and there are plenty of kids who need adopting. So, I'm not opposed to going right ahead and adopting.'

This past June, Bass and Turchin revealed that they were expecting to welcome a pair of twins in the near future during a sit-down with People.

The singer notably expressed that he and his husband were happy to welcome a pair of children into their lives.

'We had been talking about having a family since we met...We always knew that if we were going to start the family, we wanted to go for twins just because Michael's a twin,' he said.

The pair's children were later born this past October, and the singer has since shared several photos of the two to his Instagram account.

The happy couple later sat down for a joint interview with Romper where they spoke highly of their baby children.

Turchin stated: 'The twins are so great. They've been really easy and just real cool kids. We love every minute of it.'

Bass went on to express that he and his partner were excited to take family trips with their children in the future.

He said: 'Everyone's having so much fun with their kids and we never got to go on family vacations with everyone. But now we're invited.'
