Johannes Radebe says John Whaite has a 'beautiful impact' on his life

Johannes Radebe declared his love for John Whaite and for the 'beautiful impact' he makes on his life in a new Instagram post, revealing that his family is 'desperate' to meet him.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, 34, took to the photo and video sharing platform on Thursday to pay tribute to his dance partner, 32.

The pair were gracious runners-up of this year's competition after Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice lifted the glitterball.

The South-African choreographer, who is now back in his native country to see in the New Year, told his followers he had finally got round to watching the final.

Alongside a snippet from their final dance, Johannes wrote: 'SOME PEOPLE ARRIVE AND MAKE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE, YOU CAN BARELY REMEMBER WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE WITHOUT THEM.'

He then recalled the reaction that his family gave: 'I managed to watch the finale of strictly with my family and friends back home in South Africa, it was lit! [sic] @john_whaite they are desperate to meet you hun'. The pride reflected on their faces for everything we've accomplished is heart-warming. ❤️'.

The dancer continued: '@bbcstrictly delivers an awesome show every year but this season has been nothing short of revolutionary and to EVERYONE involved THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. [prayer emoji].

'The aim has always been to inspire...Representation of any minority group in media acknowledges their existence in the real world, influencing societies openness and understanding of others which makes for a better world for all. [ear emoji].

'Thanks to everyone who tuned in every weekend, supporting and cheering for great Saturday entertainment aimed at bringing audiences some sparkle, joy and escapism. [Christmas tree emoji].

'Have a beautiful crossover into 2022. I'll see you soon. X [sic] Love Jo'.

Great British Bake Off winner John left a sweet reply: 'Love you Johannes. Can’t wait to see you ❤️'.

The baker shared a thought-provoking message with his followers as the end of 2021 rolled around.

Sharing an in-the-moment snap of him on the BBC show, John penned: 'Here’s to 2022 my friends.

'Whatever the future has in store for us, I hope we all navigate it with love in our hearts, with self-respect and with kindness. Don’t be hard on yourself, don’t panic and contemplate what huge change or resolution must come your way.

'Just take those baby steps - one foot in front of the other - and everything will fall into place. Just breathe.

'Peace, safety and love to you all x'.
