Jack Fincham, former Love Island winner, was jailed after his out-of-control dog mauled a man.
The reality star, who won the show with Dani Dyer, has had a difficult time in the years since he won Love Island. He had been due to return to the spin-off show Love Island The Games until a drug-driving arrest. He previously said he would "love to go back" on the show, after his 2018 win.
Today (January 29), was in court after his dog Elvis attacked a man, Robert Sudell. The dog is a massive Cane Corso, a breed of mastiff often used as a guard dog.
Jack, 32, admitted to being in charge of the dangerous dog at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates' court today. He was jailed for six weeks, however hours later was released on bail while he appeals the sentence.
Elvis, Jack's hulking black dog which has been seen on his social media, also attacked an unnamed man in Essex in June 2024. However with that more recent incident, no harm was done.
It mauled victim Robert in Kent, in September 2022. Jack also faced two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.
As well as a six-week prison sentence, Jack was ordered to pay £3,860 to the courts, which included £200 compensation to Robert, and £50 to another victim.
A payment plan was set up which will start after his sentence. He will pay £400 per month.
The court heard that Jack did not comply with three rules relating to the dog's ownership. They were to always have the dog on a lead, for it to wear a muzzle when outside, and to not leave it alone with anyone under the age of 16.
Jack's on-off girlfriend, TOWIE star Chloe Brocket, reportedly cried as he was taken down to the cells.
It's not the first time the dog has caused trouble for Jack, though. He previously came under fire from fans due to its cropped ears, which is illegal in the UK.
