Brit Awards viewers were left scratching their heads as a 'horse' was spotted sitting next to EastEnders star Danny Dyer during the live event on ITV1.
The biggest night in British music kicked off just after 8.15pm on Saturday evening (March 1) at London's iconic O2 Arena, with the ceremony being broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
However, viewers at home were left puzzled when they noticed a woman wearing a horse mask seated next to actor Danny Dyer. She made several appearances throughout the show on ITV1, prompting many viewers to take to social media to comment on the unusual sight.
One fan queried: "Is that a horse next to Danny Dyer?" while another asked: "Why was there a horse at the Brits? ! Who even was that? !" A third questioned: "Who the hell is that with the horse face?" One viewer joked: "It's highly likely Danny Dyer bringing a horse to the Brit Awards won't even make the top five of weirdest things to happen tonight #BRITs2025 ". The mystery person turned out to be German DJ and singer HorsegiirL, who conceals her identity behind a horse head mask.
The singer-songwriter attended the Brit Awards in a striking red dress for the special occasion. Her 2023 single My Barn My Rules became a massive hit after it gained popularity on TikTok.
Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall hosted the extravaganza for the fifth time and took numerous swipes at KSI, Coldplay and Kayne West. The evening began with a humorous Squid Game-style introduction featuring TV personalities Richard Madeley and Sam Thompson, reports the Daily Record.
Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the show with her song Espresso, accompanied by dancers dressed in The King's Guard attire, complete with a Union Jack backdrop and Sabrina herself wearing a matching uniform. However, it was her second performance that sparked conversation, as she performed Bed Chem on a heart-shaped bed, wearing a revealing outfit and executing bold dance moves and suggestive gestures.
Jack praised Sabrina's provocative performance, saying, "What a way to start the show!" He then joked about his return to ITV, remarking, "Yes, I'm back! ITV had so many of its presenters cancel this year they had to come crawling back to an ex."
