Inside Boy George’s debt battle as tiny sum his firm has repaid out of £1.75m owed to ex-Culture Club star...

BOY George’s company has paid only £1,000 of the £1.75million it owes to his former lover.

The business, now in liquidation, agreed the payout to drummer Jon Moss, who helped found Culture Club in the 1980s.

He sued for loss of earnings when he was sidelined in 2018.

The £1,000 recovered is revealed in a report.

It also said George did not appear to know the details of the partnership and had to rely on advisers to answer questions.

His limited liability partnership owes £1.75million to Moss, £40,312 to tax authorities in Canada plus £3,170 to accountants.

George, 63, is facing separate trademark battles over his name and the term “Culture Club”.

He is set to star in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway and is touring his art.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m working hard to pay back all my debt.

"My advice is, don’t sleep with the drummer.”
