ghd brings back its genius Upgrade Programme - and you could save £100

ghd is one of the leading hair brands, and it has been my go-to when shopping for heat tools for many decades.

I purchased my first ever pair of straighteners from ghd circa 2004, and I still have them to this day, which is proof enough ghd’s hair tools have been made to last.

While my Original Styler function just as well as they did when I took them out the packaging, after two decades of use there are some signs of wear and tear, mainly on the plug. But, I am not the only one who has had their ghd tools for an eternity. According to a survey carried out by the brand, 58% of women have had their ghd straighteners for over five years too.

However, some may be looking to upgrade, after all you don’t really need two straighteners, which is where ghd’s Upgrade Programme comes in.

ghd launched the scheme last year, and has brought it back for a short time following its success. ghd’s Upgrade Programme allows customers to trade in their old ghd hair tool for the new Chronos straighteners, which will be discounted by £100.

The brand recently expanded its hair range to include the new Chronos, which is one of their most advanced straighteners yet. So, this incentive is quite impressive.

With HD motion-responsive technology, the ghd Chronos adapts to your styling movements, and provides constant 185 degree heat from the roots through the hair shaft to the ends. The constant heat doesn’t waiver like some heat tools, nor does it reach sky high temperatures that can damage the hair. ghd’s scheme will run from 27th February to 31st March across the UK and Ireland.

So, how does it work? All you have to do is head to ghd’s website, or a store participating in the scheme with your hair tools to claim the discount and new Chronos.

The Chronos retails for £289, so you will be required to pay the remaining balance of £189, which is still a hefty saving for the new model.

However, you will have to take part in the exchange quickly as this deal will end on 31st March.
