An EastEnders star has become a father for the first time.
Micah Balfour first appeared on the BBC soap as Junior Knight, the estranged son of George, in May of last year. Recent scenes saw Junior involved in Cindy Beale's attack case, claiming it was that Gina who threatened Cindy by throwing a brick through her window.
The 46-year-old actor has now revealed his partner Nat, 33, has given birth to their first child after more than five years together. Micah took to Instagram with an adorable snap of him and Nat holding hands with their new arrival, who is gripping Nat's finger.
He captioned the post with a love heart emoji, but didn't reveal any further details about the baby. The couple confirmed they were expecting last summer, revealing she was due to give birth in February 2025.
He posted a photo of a teddy bear, flowers and a scan, and wrote on Instagram at the time: "So we have some exciting news......" The post also included a sign which read: "Baby Balfour, February 2025."
Micah's soap famous soap pals and fans flooded the post with congratulations. Former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton wrote: "Congratulations" with a series of love heart eye emojis.
His former Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper added "Congratalions!!!!" And ex Coronation Street actress Rhea Bailey wrote: "Ahh! Congratulations Honey!! So exciting!!”
Micah first rocked up to Albert Square last year and started a fling with his dad George's ex Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). The affair was exposed to residents on Christmas Day, and poor Cindy got brutally attacked by an unknown resident.
It's still not known who is behind the assault, and we won't find out until the EastEnders anniversary in February. In last night's episode (January 29), Junior was seen hiding a shovel - used to hit Cindy - in his flat, but it's not known whether or not he was actually the culprit.
