Duchess Sophie given sweet two-word nickname after latest royal visit

Duchess Sophie has been praised by Royal Family fans this week after one of her latest royal engagements.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, 60, visited the Mothers' Union's English for Women project in Chelmsford, Essex, yesterday as patron of the Mothers’ Union - a role previously held by her mother-in-law, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The project by the organisation aims to reduce the feelings of isolation that those in local communities face, including people who experience language barriers and have fleed challenging situations.

The project also aims to provide a space where people can build support networks and learn everyday English to help improve their quality of life.

After Sophie’s visit on Thursday, pictures of Prince Edward’s wife were shared on official Royal Family social media accounts, with many royal fans flocking to praise the duchess.

Among those was a fan who referred to Sophie with the sweet two-word nickname "super trooper".

Another said: "The wonderful Duchess of Edinburgh. Warm, kind, compassionate, and committed to great causes… uplifting just seeing her."

A third commented: "Love Sophie so much. She's an amazing lady always working hard for the King and supporting so many great projects."

A fourth fan said: "What a lovely person - how lucky the Royals are to have her in the family!"

During the visit on Thursday, Sophie also impressed fans by debuting her new wavy hairstyle.

One fan wrote on Instagram: "Oh wow - her hair looks soo pretty."

Another said: "Sophie looks absolutely stunning! Love her hairstyle!"
