The unnamed motorist was spotted driving through Trafford Park, Manchester, with a mountain of parcels blocking their view.
The haphazard way the packages were piled up on the passenger seat was so bad that they couldn’t see their nearside wing mirror.
To add to their woes, the driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, which carries a £100 fine.
They were pulled over and given a telling off.
Traffic police shared it on X, saying: ‘This parcel delivery van was stopped by #CVU earlier today in Trafford Park.
‘The driver had no view out of his nearside window or mirror due to the mountain of insecure parcels on the passenger seat.
‘Driver reported and vehicle prohibited until it was offloaded.’
A GMP spokesperson told Metro: ‘The driver was issued a traffic offence report for carrying a load in a dangerous manner and failing to wear a seatbelt.
‘The load offence can carry three points and a fine, the seatbelt is just a fine which can equate to £100.’
People on X were quick to share their opinions including Rod Snell who wrote: ‘Should just ban him. Loose parcels could have slid across at anytime causing him to lose control and plough into someone.’
A user called Stuart added: ‘Employer should he prosecuted also because they pioevon the loads & leave jo time for legal breaks under domestic driver hours laws.’
Another person joked: ‘He’s done a good job there, he can come help me pack for our family camping trips.’
This is certainly not the first time a dodgy driver has been caught by officers.
In November 2024, police officers stopped an uninsured driver and found his windscreen wipers were being operated by shoe laces.
Staffordshire Police shared video showing the shoe laces being used to manually operate the wipers as the country was battered by Storm Bert.
The force said: ‘As creative it appears to use shoe laces to manually operate your broken wipers, it isn’t acceptable!’
In December 2023, a dangerous driver was caught on camera leading police on a terrifying high-speed chase in Nottingham.
Police pursued Kai Hopkins, 22, as he sped through residential areas, across the city centre of Nottingham and onto the M1.
He was sentenced to a three year community order and was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
And in May 2023 a pensioner’s luck run out after his car was stopped and it was discovered he’d been driving without a licence for 50 years.
Police discovered the 69-year-old driver had never passed his test or possessed a driving licence, meaning he had been driving illegally for five decades.
