Liverpool currently sit top of the table with a 13-point lead over Arsenal, although it should be noted that the Gunners do have a game in hand.
Time is running out for Mikel Arteta’s men, though, who only have 11 fixtures remaining as they attempt to close the gap to Arne Slot’s side.
Many pundits believe Liverpool have the title wrapped up – with Arsenal looking set to fall short for the third season in a row amid their attacking injury crisis – with the north Londoners having last won the trophy in 2004.
Seaman, though, feels the title race isn’t over yet simply because Liverpool supporters have not started singing about being champions of England.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Arsenal goalkeeper said: ‘I’m not hearing anybody sing yet, so don’t ask me if it’s over – it’s nearly over but not quite!’
Seaman also believes Arsenal will look to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window at the end of the season after the club’s January gamble.
‘You need a lot of luck [to win the title] and we haven’t had that this season at all,’ Seaman added.
‘Especially with the injuries we’ve had to our key players. If you take [Mohamed] Salah out of the Liverpool team for a long time, you are going to struggle.
‘We’re the same with Bukayo [Saka]. [Gabriel] Martinelli is also out, [Gabriel] Jesus is out, [Kai] Havertz as well, just after transfer deadline day, which you can’t see [coming].
‘That makes it more obvious for people to say, ‘We told you we needed a striker [in January]’ – but I’m sure that’s what the main [transfer] target will be in the summer. We’ll see what happens from there.’
Arsenal, who lost 1-0 at home to West Ham and drew 0-0 at Nottingham Forest in their last two Premier League games, return to top-flight action on March 9 with a trip to Manchester United.
Before that, though, the Gunners play PSV in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 showdown at the Emirates on March 4.
