Coronation Street confirms major exit as legend knocked down in 30 pictures

David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) worries persist about the situation in which he’s found himself but Shona (Julia Goulding) is quick to offer advice, assuring him they’ll find a way out of this mess.

Despite such assurances, however, David seeks solace in the booze at lunchtime, leaving his nearest and dearest worried. And they’re right to be concerned as the situation soon escalates.

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) finds herself caught up in the drama when she dashes out of the pub following a showdown with Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard), who has been given reason to suspect that she’s not being honest about him being the father of her baby.

Daniel demands answers from Daisy, which leads to her walking out of the Rovers – just as David stumbles into the road.

Shona spots a car hurtling towards David and, devastatingly, the vehicle ploughs into both him and Daisy!

Will Daisy and the baby be okay? Will David, for that matter?

The week in question is a big one for the Platt clan, with Max Turner (Paddy Bever) receiving his sentence. The question is: will he get off? Or is he looking at a lengthy prison stint?

Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King), meanwhile, makes a big decision about her future while Carla Connor (Alison King) is given reason to suspect that Rob Donovan (Marc Bayliss) is closer to home than she thought.

Is he back to seek revenge? Or has she seen the last of him?

The jury is still out, so to speak, but one thing is for sure – you can expect a dramatic week on the Street!

Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday, March 3 and Friday, March 7 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
