Chef's 2-word remark as King Charles and Queen Camilla show off unexpected skill

A famous chef made a surprising two-word remark about King Charles and Queen Camilla this week as they took part in a joint engagement in London.

The monarch, 76, and the Queen, 77, spent the day visiting local Muslim communities in London ahead of Ramadan, which starts tomorrow.

As part of the visit, the couple visited Indian restaurant Darjeeling Express, founded by chef Asma Khan.

During this visit, the King and Queen took part in activities such as helping pack dates, which will be sent to local hospitals for people doing Ramadan to eat each day at sunset.

As reported by People, the King and Queen were both more than happy to play their part and were so productive Khan referred to them as a “speedy couple”.

In a video taken at the time, the chef could be heard saying: “I didn’t realize the King would be so fast!

“You are packing dates faster than I can seal them.

“I never realized this is a speedy couple.”

Moments later, the monarch was jokingly asked to come back and do the job each year, to which he replied: “I may be past my sell-by date!”

As well as helping to pack these dates, they also helped dish up boxes of biryani to be donated to Doorstep - an organisation that helps families looking for permanent housing.

Their Majesties also met restaurant staff and leading British Muslim women including circuit judge Khatun Sapnara, crime author Saima Mir, Masterchef winner Saliha Mahmood Ahmed and businesswoman Shaheen Sayed of Accenture.
