BRIT Awards chaos in full from Sabrina Carpenter stripping to X-rated remarks

The BRIT Awards kicked off last night on ITV1 as the music industry's biggest icons descended on London's O2 Arena for a night of stunning performances and late night partying.

Hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, the 2025 awards ceremony saw Charli XCX win big with her viral album Brat, while JADE, Sam Fender, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and RAYE also took home gongs throughout the night.

Much like any eventful BRIT Awards, the night wasn't without chaos - with EastEnders actor Danny Dyer making headlines after going on a foul-mouthed rant about Keir Starmer and being muted by ITV over X-rated comments.

Meanwhile, fans were left in floods of tears as the BRITs paid tribute to Liam Payne, who died last October aged 31. Host Jack opened the heartbreaking segment before an emotional montage of his life and career was played to the tearful audience.

Here's everything that went down during the BRIT Awards 2025 ceremony.

US pop star Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the night with a racy performance that left jaws on the floor. The Espresso singer took to the BRITs stage to perform a medley of her hits before picking up the Global Success Award.

However, the singer wasn't afraid to put on a bold performance, wowing in a red lacy outfit before kneeling down in front of a dancer, who was dressed as a King's Guard soldier.

Viewers took to social media to speak about the pre-watershed performance, with some even threatening to complain to Ofcom. "SABRINAS PERFORMANCE WAS AMAZING!! but im so scared bc i just know people are gonna complain. we love you sab," one wrote. Another said: "Sabrina Carpenter doing Bed Chem pre-watershed? The Ofcom complaints about that performance are gonna be through the roof but I enjoyed it. That's my girl! #BRITs."

Danny Dyer delivered a foul-mouthed rant that was muted by ITV during the BRIT Awards, with the ex EastEnders star sharing his honest thoughts on prime minister Keir Starmer.

Speaking to host Jack Whitehall from his table at the BRITs, Danny made a refence to his latest film and described it as Bridget Jones, before using the word c***. After Jack asked him who the "c*** of the year" was, he said: "Keir Starmer," adding that the world being ran by b*** e****."

The moment was bleeped by ITV during the broadcast and later on in the night, Danny introduced a video message from Chappell Roan, who he said "couldn't be f***ed to be here".

BRITs viewers were left outraged by Jack Whitehall's joke about P Diddy after JADE took to the stage to perform Angel of My Dreams in an all-white ensemble. Jack made a joke about Diddy's 'white parties', leaving fans horrified.

"Jack Whitehall making a Diddy joke was so tasteless and tone deaf. #BRITs2025," whilst another added: "Mentioning Diddy after the whole, very blatant, message of JADEs performance ??? Get this man off my screen #brits2025."

Fans of Little Mix star Jade Thrilwall will have recognised a surprise celeb on the red carpet - the singer's 'music manager husband' who appears in her Angel of My Dreams music video.

The star appeared with the so-called 'Simon Cowell' figure from the music video, which takes a pop at the music industry and the execs who run it. Jade, 32, took to the red carpet with the looming figure, dressed in all-white while clutching a white bouquet of flowers.

In real life, Jade is dating Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens.
