BBC star Rosie Ramsey has been left bedridden after breaking her tailbone.
The 38-year-old TV star hosts her hit Sh**ged Married Annoyed podcast with husband Chris Ramsey. The pair share two kids, sons Rafe and Robin, and now host their own BBC chat show which is reportedly returning for a third series.
However, the podcaster got into a horror scrape while drunk when she fell down the stairs and broke her tailbone. Revealing the injury on Instagram, she wrote: "BRB….. Currently dying a little bit as I think I’ve broken my coccyx falling down the stairs last night. (YES I WAS DRUNK! LEAVE ME ALONE."
The Strictly star was inundated with messages of support from her fans, with one writing: "Oh man... you poor thing. Did mine in a car crash and it hurts so bad, don't know if you wanna stand up or sit down because it all hurts... sympathy sympathy sympathy to you xxx"
Another commented: "I broke my coccyx falling down stairs at work over 20 years ago, so they had to xray my back, I really feel for you it's extremely painful, I still have a weakness in my lower back, but I used a support belt from time to time just to get about. It does take a while to get better".
Rosie took to Instagram on Wednesday (February 12) to share an update with fans after the painful injury, located at the bottom of the spine. Despite the pain she's likely in, Rosie has retained her sense of humour as she posted a playful video from bed.
The presenter appeared in a grey floral jumper and was taking medication, presumably to help with the pain. She mimed over a clip of Kim Kardashian from her reality show The Kardashians, telling viewers: "It's a full time job and it's extremely time consuming and it's not as easy as it may appear to some people."
Rosie captioned the clip: "When people ask what it's like having a broken tailbone from falling down the stairs drunk". She quipped: "Full time job lying on one a*** cheek."
Her TV show, The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show, is reportedly returning to screens for a third series. A source told The Sun: "The BBC love Chris and Rosie, they’re a hilarious duo but most importantly, real, so it was a blow when they couldn’t get a third series under way. The show was shelved until schedules could align and work can now begin ahead of next year."
