Armchair F1 fans will lap up these toy collections – from LEGO to Hot Wheels

With just a few weeks before the F1 season starts in Australia for the first of 24 races, the teams unveiled their new look liveries. The multi-billion-pound business is a mega-merchandising machine and far from just logos on caps and clothes – the licencing extends to far more than apparel.

A wave of racing-themed toys and collectibles is hitting the shelves. Leading the charge is the LEGO ICONS Williams Racing FW14B, complete with a Nigel Mansell minifigure, priced at £69.99. This detailed set pays tribute to one of F1’s most iconic cars.

Meanwhile, Hot Wheels is also gearing up to release its own F1-inspired collection, though details remain under wraps for now. From die-cast models to intricate building kits, fans of all ages can bring the thrill of the track home just in time for lights out on the 2024 season.

So, take a pitstop and ponder over this collection of podium worthy pieces.

There’s plenty to come from the Danish outfit in 2025 as they go big on F1, this set in their ICONS range features a Nigel Mansell minifigure with his trademark tash. Set him in his seat and wonder if he can see over the wheel of this 799 piece, 31cm ride. This is available at the official LEGO store.

This line-up from LEGO features 10 cars in their new season outfits, each one around the 250 pieces and of course a minifigure driver.

The detail on each is impressive and we’re certain the pricing on these will perhaps afford fans of F1 to snag more than one.

While what is under the hood of an F1 ride is top secret this 500+ piece kit will give an insight into the inner workings of an engine.

Plug it into the included rechargeable battery and marvel at all the moving parts, just add your own sound effects.

This F1 inspired board game offers up a surprising amount of high-octane action for something that is analogue.

The aim is to complete the race first, but it is far from easy and full of strategy with all manner of incident cards to play that’ll boost your chances or hinder your opponents.

We’re told it is aimed at the toddler market, but the timeless design of this pull-back racer has the Kidult in us reaching for the buy button.

Most certainly a contender for some shelf space this one.

Coming soon from the iconic toy car maker this range of F1 rides are ready to take to the infamous orange racing tracks which will be joined later this year by a specially designed F1 specific racing set. Look at mattel.com for more details.

Plenty on offer in this City set, two cars, a couple of drivers, a pile of spare tyres and four mechanic minifigures to help make it all happen.

Wait, there’s also a winner’s trophy and the entire set folds into a carry case.

The three-time F1 World champion in the retro yellow Lotus outfit looks like he means business with those eyes firmly fixed straight ahead.

Other drivers have had the Funko treatment, perhaps you’re more inclined toward a Verstappen or Bottas vinyl.

You could spend much more on an F1 remote control car than this but for those new to the bucket seat who might well need some practice laps, this one is plenty fast enough. Battery powered, this ride has decent detail and with DIY stickers inside you can add your own style.
