Alex Jones developed a fear of dance after appearing on Strictly in 2011, a phobia she has never managed to overcome.
The One Show host, 44, has admitted she found competing in the BBC ballroom dance contest so 'terrifying' that she no longer enjoys busting some moves in public.
Welsh presenter Alex said in an interview with Radio Wales: 'It’s so terrifying. For me it stopped me dancing for ever more. But I did love the experience.'
However, Robert Rinder, 43, who took part in the show in 2016, spoke of having a completely different experience during the same chat.
The criminal barrister has since joined a dance group and is now putting his twinkle-toed skills to the test in pantomime, starring in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Bristol Hippodrome.
Robert said of dancing: 'It’s about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.'
Despite her claims, Alex made it to the semi-finals of the competition with her professional dance partner James Jordan in 2011, with the pair finishing in fifth place.
Robert, who danced with Oksana Platero in 2016, also finished in fifth place on his series.
Alex's comments come after she showcased her impressive post-baby body in an adorable Instagram post with her husband Charlie Thomson earlier this month - just four months after giving birth.
The TV presenter, 44, looked sensational as she exhibited her svelte waist in a figure-hugging midi dress featuring puffed shoulders in one black-and-white snap.
Her dapper partner had dressed to impress in a suit-and-tie as Alex hosted the Emerald And Ivy Ball in London, on behalf of Ronan Keating and his wife Storm.
In her caption, The One Show host penned: 'Last night I had the pleasure and privilege of hosting the #emeraldandivyball for @rokeating and @stormykeating all in aid of the #mariekeatingfoundation and @cr_uk.
'What they pulled off was incredible, a decadent roaring 20's themed night that raised 890k. It was lovely to meet the whole family too.'
The TV star welcomed the little one on August 21 with Charlie, whom she shares sons Teddy, four, and Kit, two, with.
